I’m headed out the door to the market and ~ Oops! ~ I forgot to write a shopping list for the recipe I am going to make for dinner.
Ugh! This puts a damper on even wanting to cook.
Don’t get me wrong, I love to cook, but I don’t long for the time spent sitting down at the table with a cookbook and writing up a shopping list for a recipe. Isn’t there an easier way to know what I need?
YES! And here it is: Below is a shopping list for each recipe in the book ~ ready for you to print off and use. Use the three sections of the list as follows:
- 1“Hmm, do I have 2 cups of flour and 1 cup of sugar?” Use the pantry checklist section to see what ingredients are already in your pantry and if you have the correct amount to make the recipe or if you need to buy more.
- 2“I need 1 cup of whipping cream, what size container is that at the store?” In the shopping list section, you’ll see the amount of each ingredient needed for the recipe and the size of the item to buy at the store. “You’ll need to by a 1/2-pint container of whipping cream.”
- 3“The recipe calls for one cup of strained tomatoes, but what can I do with the remaining 2 cups of tomatoes in the carton?” In the leftover section, you’ll find helpful tips about ways to use an ingredient if you have purchased more than the recipe calls for you to use.
