Book clubs are an exciting way to share your favorite books and authors with your friends and community, but sometimes it can be difficult to know how to guide the conversation toward some meaningful discourse.
To insure that your next club meeting will be taken up a notch when discussing Beyond the Pasta, I have included a list of discussion questions and topics to help keep the conversation on track.
Here is a printable list of discussion points: Book Club Discussion Points

* Interested in having me attend your book club meeting?
Maybe have me give a cooking lesson to the group before we sit down to discuss Beyond the Pasta ~ and eat the lesson, too?! I’d be up for it, are you?
Contact me and let’s discuss the details.
Hi!
Our book club, The Illumine Book Club, is in small town Moundville, Alabama. I saw your info on Doug Perry’s Facebook page and ordered your book. Love it! We are a small club of only 5 members, but we are sending out the word about your book in our area. We would love to welcome you to our neck of the woods (or re-welcome if you have been here) and invite you to a meeting that would include other clubs (and friends) from around the area. I am November’s hostess. Our club usually meets on the last week of the month, but for holiday months, we meet as we can. Since this is likely a very busy time for you, you may not be able to come, and we certainly understand. I am boldly going forward and asking anyway! If you have a date free from Nov. 14th through the end of the month, please contact me. Cooking lesson, eating, book discussion, Italy – what could be better? If you are unable to attend, perhaps we could work out a phone chat or other use of technology. I am presenting all the info on the book tonight with the book club info and discussion questions. I look forward to hearing from you, and again, the book was a joy!
Take care,
Mary Evelyn Thornton

Mary Evelyn,
It certainly turned out to be a great event and I cannot imagine a more wonderful or “Illumine”-ating way to spend a Saturday afternoon in February. “Grazie tanto” for all of your energy and your book group is such a great collection of people. Brava!
